I seem to have lost the ability to read PDF files although I have got Adobe acrobat Reader 3.1 on my programs list. When I tried to install anew edition from the web page I got a lot of meaning less characters but among the first characters it said you could not install in MSDOS mode. I do not understand what has happened here as I have not at anytime put the computer on MSDOS mode. Any advice would be appreciated. I have PC Advisor disks for 5.5 and 6 versions of Adobe readers available.

Can you uninstall the current version via add/remove programs? If so, do it and then try a clean install from the CD thatyou have.
