Unable to play DVD in Windows media player

error message "This pin cannot play the supplied media type"
If I turn on the guest account DVD plays no problem.

I believe Windows Media Player won't play DVDs unless another DVD player program is installed. It then borrows the latter's DVD decoder. I'm not sure why you would only get this problem with the guest account turned off.

Is there any possibility there is another DVD player installed on the Guest account?

I've got power dvd installed which works ok in the main account and guest account. Windows media 10 in both accounts will only play dvd's in guest account or if I create another user account will play ok.Have tried uninsalling and reinstalling both Power DVD and media player but cannot play DVD in main account
