I'm running windows XP and when I try to open some files I get a message C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXE.NT.The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.can anyone tell me 1. What does it mean and 2. How can I get round it. My freind is running a similar PC to mine but has no problems with them. Many Thanks for looking.

This info tells me to insert disc. Does this mean windows XP disc? If so I've tried that and it doesn't seem to work.
