Unable To Load Operating System

I was creating a new partition and installing a new install of Windows XP Professional of the new partiton, when a error appeared and forced me to reboot. I did this, and recieved the error,
'Unable To Load Operating System'

Now my first idea was to attempt to boot from the XP CDROM, but my problem is i use a USB CDR/W drive, and a typical IDE CDROM drive, and mine is broken. How can i boot from my USB CDROM drive? Is it possible? I have had a quick look through the boot part of my BIOS, and i cant see an option which would allow me to do this.

What options do i have for getting my PC booting again? Im thinking i may have to format and start again?
But again, i would have the problem of Installing the OS again, from my USB CDROM drive...

Seems like a sticky problem!
Any help would be great,
