Hi everyone,

Hoping you can please kindly help with a problem that I've encountered. Recently I have bee unable to drag and drag, or even move files between folders (in My Documents for example). I've noticed that all the program links on my desktop have changed name in that they all end in .lnk now. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Dan

System Restore?

  TOPCAT® 18:26 10 Apr 05

in Start/Settings/Taskbar&StartMenu/Advanced.

Scroll down and enable it. If problem persists then do as VoG™ suggests. TC.

Thanks for your help. I've tried what TopCat suggests and unfortunately that didn't work. I don't have System Restore activated so I don't have anything to restore (rather noobish huh - I'll have to use that feature in future!). Any further suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Dan

This may sound bonkers but try a repair of Internet Explorer click here

I can recall this solving a similar problem posted on here.

Thanks Vog - yes, my Internet Explorer is totally messed up (after a virus I believe) and so I use Firefox instead.

VoG™, you are a genius - repairing Internet Explorer did the job! Hat off to you, top stuff.

Thanks, Dan
