unable to connect wi-fi

Hi, this is a tough one. I have a Toshiba laptop which runs windows vista , 3MB memory. I've been connecting to my router via a wired connection without any problems but now I have a wireless router. I switch my laptop on and it recognises the router but it will not accept my WEP key. Friends have brought their laptops round and they get connected using the WEP key without any problems. Any ideas would be a much appreciated.

Try changing the key to something else on the router , or try using WPA encryption instead , I find quite often simply doing this makes a difference . Delete your profile from Network and Sharing centre/manage wireless networks before trying again .
