unable to access second OS in a dual boot system

Dear Sir,

I have two hard disks in my PC. One has Windows XP and the other windows 98. The boot menu shows only wndows xp on both lines. I can't see windows 98 in the other hard dsk. The windows xp starts OK during start up while the windows 98 is not accessible. Is there any way to edit the boot menu to enable me to use windows 98 as well?

I had re-installed windows xp again with the hope that it may be able to access windows 98. But with no success. Can you help, please?

With thanks in advance,

You should be able to dual boot Windows 98 with XP if you are using the same File System. (FAT32)
But even if you are not you should be able to see Windows 98 from XP.
To view the startup options you will need to right click the My Computer icon the go to properties. I can't quite remember what tab you need but one of them contains the start up and recovery options. That will tell you what OS's you have installed and what one is the default to boot first.
I hope this is not too technical
