I am spending 9 months in the USA very soon and am planning to take my laptop computer with me. I was just windering if i will need to get a new power lead for my laptop or can i simply plug into a US outlet using a travel adaptor?

There should be some indication on the laptop, a specification plate or where the power lead plugs in. Do you not hace a user guide?

Laptops are designed to be used worldwide. I have no trouble with My Toshiba (Bought in USA 17 Months ago) Have European UK and USA leads for it It should say on the base or back power ie Input= 100-240volts Output 19volts DC This is on the power supply box
