Help me, how do i fully swithch to root user and obtain privilages to install or copy files to the system folders? I'm a complete novice and i need help!!

Is django not included in the standard packages available with 7.04? According to click here it should be available in the universe repository. Note that it is called python-django.

Perhaps the universe repository is not included in the list of repositories you are set up to look in?
