Hi guys,
On my new computer i now have WinXP home. Not bad but something keeps annoying me.

Whenever i hover over anything on my desktop a little message pops up telling ime what it does and when i connect to the internet i get another little message saying..."connected at 45.2kbs" Do any of you know how to get rid of this?

Another thing is....some of the operations on this computer run slower than my old one such as opening up wwindows messenger although i had msn messenger last time.
Is this just WinXP or windows messenger?

I am thinking of reformatting and running FDisk, is this still in use on WinXP and can i reformat in the old way?

Thanks ahead

1. To disable ballon tips - click here

2. It's Messenger

3. You can reformat and reinstall just by booting with the XP CD in the CD drive - no need for Fdisk
