Two PCs - two ADSL Modems?

Two PCs working at home with ADSL modem installed on one.

A network seems the obvious answer but although the PCs are only some 10 metres apart the cable run is a pig!

What problems , if any , could I expect installing a second modem to the other PC?

A wireless network is more expensive, but if a cable run (either phone or network) is 'a pig', that is an option to consider.

Thanks graham√ ,but 'phone line is already in the room.

Wireless is of course another option but cost I'm afraid is prohibitive.

Then a second modem in the other PC would be OK, but you could only have one modem connected to the phone line at a time.

Thanks graham√

If you just need the internet and no file sharing buy another modem. You can swop connections or wire in another box.

Buy another modem - it will be the cheaper option, and will work perfectly (as long as you plug an ADSL microfilter into the phone extension first).
