Twin Graphics cards.

I have a chance of a second 8800gt card at a very good price which will fit snugly in my SLI board and wondered is it necessary to install the same driver again for the second card?
I am well aware that there are better cards out there but finances dictate how I upgrade at the moment.

I assume that the existing card is the same?

Once you install the second card, ignore windows warnings about "New hardware found" and:

1) Delete all existing Nvidia drivers and control panels etc.

2) download the latest updates from:

3) Re-boot (remember the little bridge connection that joins the 2 cards together)

4) Ignore the new hardware found bleating

%) install the drivers you downloaded in step 2.

Re-boot as asked.

Thanks for that.

Do as crosstrainer mentioned and you might have to open the Nvidia control panel afterwards to enable SLI.

Depends on your OS,you may have a pop up message saying if you want to enable SLI after driver updated and PC rebooted.
