Having downloaded Tweak UI, I cannot get it to appear in the Control Panel.

For what version of Windows?

I didn't think it appeared in the control panel, just the programs list.

Unzip download to a folder, ie TEMP, there will be 4 tweakui files, right click on the one that looks like a page with writing on, click install.

open control panel and it will be there.

Installing tweakui
Unzip to a specified folder. You will see four files displayed.
Right click tweakui.inf file and select install.
It will then display warning that it cannot find CD..click OK
Then displays window asking for file.
Type in the path to the folder/ or browse to the file tweakui.cnt in the above specified folder.

Tweakui came on the Windows 98 disc. It did not come with later editions such as SE/ME. The latest version is 1.33, and is available as a download. During installation it will prompt for the CD (a bug in the programme) at this point you click OK and then browse back to the folder where it was unzipped.
That is how I had to install it for Win98SE if memory serves me correct

If you want help with this query, you should answer Powerless's question: What OS? - as there are 3 different versions of Tweakui - for 98/ME,XP,and XPSP1.
