TV-Out required

  TheFugitive276 20:12 15 May 04

I have a 1.3ghx athlon ‘Time Machine’ which, after a transplant to an ATX case now has four HD’s (via IDE), 1024 ram and Pinnacle studio 8 de-luxe AV/DV movie capture/editor installed.

I wish to use my PC as an all-format file & DVD player (5 metres away from my TV).

My PC shop tells me that I have integrated graphics & hence no AGP socket on the motherboard. They say that in order to get TV-out I need a new motherboard & I may as well opt for a faster chip. Estimated cost £300+.

As an alternative would a USB connected TV device work for me?

Any advice appreciated folks!

If you have a spare PCI slot you could get a PCI-based graphics card with TV-out - click here.

To get everything from one reasonable source go to eBuyer - for the PCI graphics card click here, & necessary Cables click here. Scroll down on both links for more options.
