I am trying to use Sound Recorder, found under All Programmes, Accesories, Entertainment, to record some tapes to CD. I have got the thing to record some of a track, but there is a limit of 60sec, sometimes a different time, applied to the recording time, and I can't find out how to alter and control this time. Has anyone used this device and foung how to set the recording total time?

Using sound recorder you only get 60secs of recording time.

However there is a workaround you can try. Record 60secs of nothing and then save it. Start a new recording and after few seconds go to edit>insert file and you should then have a new blank recording of 120secs and you can repeat this until you have another blank recording of whatever length you wish.

You can then open this file and record whatever you want that will fit that length of time.

Its a bit long winded but it does work!
