Trying to update BIOS but have no floppy

I have downloaded a BIOS update for my desktop computer but I am supposed to save the file to a floppy disk and then boot from it. My problem is that my computer has no floppy drive. I know I could burn the file to a CD and then boot from CD but how do I know if the files will will run from the CD when meant for a floppy? Wouldnt they need to be an ISO file? I am worried I could cause damage to the BIOS.

Any thoughts?

You can create a bootable CD using NERO or other software that you may have - take a look here enter link description here
