Hello all,

im trying to set up a network between my laptop and desktop, im using a crossover cable to connect them together.

For a random reason, both of the 2 computers show in the tray that the network cable is unplugged :S

Ive tried installing and un installing protocols.

I only want to share my tiscali ADSL connection.

Thanks very much, let me know if you need more info:)

Run the network wizard.

Afraid that will never work, becauase it hasn't even got a connection yet, and so the computers arn't even talking, let alone being able to set a network up, the network is actully already setup, ticking the box that says 'ignore disconected hardware'

thanks anyway

all other help apreciated :)
