hi all and thanks in advance!

i've been getting blue screen crashes for about a week now and i've tried everything that is posted on microsofts crash reports, these forums and general browsing of the net - all software related.

it's still happening, so i assume its hardware related. i cant memcheck my ram because i dont have a floppy drive :( and doing the boot cd-rom is beyond me. i've scandisk my HDD and no errors are found and also ran anti-virus and anti-spyware.

my spec -

dual core 2.13ghz
1GB ram
SLI nvidia 7600GS
250GB Sata HD
Sony DVD-RW
Sony DVD

so i thought i would do some trial and error with my RAM and moved them around in the slots, it still happened. i have 2 512MB sticks btw :)
i removed 1 stick and booted up, and no crash! howerver the only thing is, with just my 1 stick of 512MB my computer freeze but not very often, i just wondered if this was normal due to there not being enough RAM to cope?

if so then surely the problem lies with the other RAM stick?

just looking for some re-assurance before i purchase some replacement RAM.

Yes sounds like you have a memory module problem. you could test it.
