Trouble Starting The Computer

  neiljordanuk 19:38 08 Feb 03

I recently bought a new computer, which I've had since 24th Dec.

It has the following specs:
OS - WindowsXP
Motherboard - MSI KT4VL MS-6712
Graphics Card - ATI Radeon 9500 (128MB)
RAM - 512MB
Processor - Athlon XP 2600+

Right from the first time I turned it on, the computer didn't start first time, it just frose at at some point on the first screen. As it was OK when I reset it, I ignored it and kept going.

However, when I turned my computer on again, the same thing happened again and it has been doing so ever since. It doesn't always work when I reset it either and it always jams at different points in the startup (if it gets to the loading WindowsXP screen then it's OK from then on). Also, when it jams, certain sections of text or part of one of the logos will dissapear, other than a way to tell if it has stopped, I don't know what that means.

Please help.

Contact the supplier at once. If it is than new it must still be under warranty.
