trouble downloading mp3 in Firefox

  PvG 11:02 26 Aug 07

I can download and save an mp3 in IE7 by "save target as".
In Firefox, I only get options to "open, bookmark or save" the LINK.
Any suggestions on how to save mp3 in Firefox, please?

If you click on the link you should get an option of either opening the MP3 or saving it, at least that's what happens in my Firefox.

Try the Firefox Add-on - DownThemAll

Go to Tools/Options, click Content, click Manage. If MP3 is in the list delete it; next time you download one FF will ask how you want to deal with it.

"save link as". This will save the file as mislading as it sounds. There's some helpful advice under help>for internet explorer users as well.

Thanks for your help folks.
I used Brundle's suggestion.
