Trojan Win32.sasfis.bgii

Hi - I opened my Bookworm program yesterday for the first time since my Kaspersky 2010 ran out and I'd installed Kaspersky 2011. It picked up a problem, wouldn't open Bookworm, said it was trying to access malicious software and quoted Trojan Win32.sasfis.bgii.

The odd thing was that I tried opening it on the laptop, which has KIS 2010 and got exactly the same response.

Do I have a problem, or more to the point, two problems? The program has been on both machines for years without any problems.

According to the Kaspersky website its a false positive, i.e. a legitimate file incorrectly classed as a virus and will be resolved with the next update

Tis is the link to the Kaspersky website. You'll have to copy and paste it as I'm getting errors trying to turn it into a link (Hence my first post)

Thank you - I never thought of that!

Althogh re-reading that thread it is from 6 months ago. How up-to-date is your AV? If it is up-to-date and the problem persists then add it to you exclusions

The AV is totally up to date. I'm obviously being very thick, but I can't see where to add the program to the exclusions list.

If you're using 2011 then it should be as how it is described in my link. This link is for 2010, which seems to be the same way

Yep - got it, thanks, all seems to be ok now.

Program works perfectly again. Now to do the same thing on the laptop!
