A couple of days ago i had a Trojan virus alert which was grabbed by my anti virus system (Norton).

since then when i log on i get a dialogue box pop up

this is what is says

c:\windows\system32\sysflg32.exe

Windows cannot find c:\windows\system32\sysflg32.exe make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again to search for the file click start button and click search.

when i click ok i then get

desktop could not load or run c:\windows\system32\sysflg32.exe specified in registry make sure file exists on your computer or remove reference to it in registry.

I have gone in the systems report and cannot locate this file, i am not sure if it a vital part of the system. Do you know it is?

Sounds like that file is maybe REVOP.A from searching doesnt seem to be an important file as you havent commented on any other problems!

Try pandas online scan click here

SYSTEM RESTORE OFF!
Remember if you have XP you will have to turn off system restore before scanning as a virus can be hidden inside that too

MAYBE MSCONFIG...
If it doesnt detect a virus, then AVG would have removed it but not all the file refences so go START > RUN > MSCONFIG look thought that and find the SYSFLG32.EXE reference and delete it

IF NOT THEN REGEDIT..
If that doesnt work or you cant see the file goto C:\windows\ copy a file called REGEDIT (back up purposes) then open the orginal and search for the SYSFLG32.EXE and delete...
