Trojan (is it or isnt it?)

Despite having up-to-date Norton Anti Virus and Firewall fitted I appear to have a trojan. I know cos the Norton told me. It lit up telling me that my computer was infected with a trojan (mentioning 'sarco' in the description) and that it could do nothing about it. Virus scans and runs with Spybot, Ad-aware and a-squared show nothing. Is my Norton wobbling for no reason or do I really have this bug and, more to the point, how can I get rid of it? I last heard this name from a college computer where the browser was hijacked but its not happing to me.
