Trojan downloader in system restore

I have trojan downloader 'Win32/perfiler.E' in system volume information/restore. I've tried turning system restore off and re-booting but the virus still shows up.

It was detected using a free on-line virus scanner

My own virus software, McAfee, hasn't detected it.

Is 'Win32/perfiler.E' a high threat? What damage can it do? Hardly anything about it on Google.
I'm using Windows XP Home.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

Turn off your system restore, reboot and turn back on. This will fix it.

ps...if you have a virus or trojan in system restore no amount of scans will remove it.

Turning off system restore and rebooting didn't work. I booted into safe mode and used the free scanner which not only deleted the virus, it also identified another 9 separate viruses!

Not bad for a freebie.

Thanks Stalion & Gandalf
