Trend AntiVirus software

I have just noticed "Trend ChipAway antivirus running" in bootup when I first start the computer.

I understand that this is an onboard antivirus software protection in my BIOS and that since I have up to date antivirus software installed anyway, I do not need to have this and can dissable it by going into the BIOS.

However I cannot find any mention of this antivirus in the BIOS at all.

I am using Award BIOS and it should show in the [advance] section, but it does not.

Firstly, I have not noticed this before so why should it now show up?

Secondly has anyone any ideas as to where I have to go to disable it?

Are you sure its in your bios ?
Look for something about boot sector protection in your bios and disable it
