I am sure that the left pane when exploring My Computer showed tree lines to indicate the relationship between folders and sub folders. However mine seems to have disappeared, perhaps someone knows how I may restore it.
thanks in advance

Hope this helps :)

Do you mean that the tree lines have disappeared, the display in the left pane has disappeared, or the left pane has disappeared?

It is the tree lines----am on xp home

so what happens when you right click start then explore from the options.

  johnnyrocker 19:35 10 Sep 05

dotted lines? is there a plus next to the folders?

yes there is a plus and when clicked turns into a minus and the sub folders are shown ---but no connecting dotted lines

sorry i am lost when you say dotted lines because all i get is the subfolders with further plus signs and other folders.

Hi driving man. After a bit of experimentation I've found it! In Windows Explorer - Tool - Folder Options - View. Remove the tick from "Display simple folder view in Explorers Folder list".
