Transparent iFrames and phpBB?

Hi there, I am currently working on a new site to replace my old blog site, I had the brilliant idea of using transparent iFrames (seen it on NTL's website), google search for transparent iFrames was successful, heres what I have:
On the page to appear INSISE the iFrame add this to the head:
style type="text/css">
body {background-color: transparent}
/style>

and for the iFrame use the properties:
IFRAME NAME="Something" src="yourcontent.html" allowtransparency="true" background-color="transparent" frameborder="0" scrolling="yes">
/IFRAME>

but obvioudly with more of your own attributes.

This works fine for my test page, but if I try to load my Forum page into the iFrame it just displays as normal, I have tried placing:

style type="text/css">
body {background-color: transparent}
/style>

into the subSilver.css file (Using phpBB default theme) and into the head section within overall_header.tpl, bu neither of them work. Please help. J
