I have had a new pc over xmas which is running on Vista home.
I have transffered all my files from my xp to the new vista.. however i noticed whilst i was loading the new software provided with the new pc that they took a long time to load that is a 20 mb software coould take up to 45 minutes to install.I contacted the tech guys they declared that there was a corruption in Vista so they advised me to back up my files and restore to factory settings.
Thing is i have tried to transfer my files from the vista to xp but the xp does not detect it.
Is there any idiot`s guide to transfer files from Vista to XP using the file transfer method ??
Thanks
Morthin

I would highly recommend you use an external hard drive. If you don't have one, buy one. They are very cheap considering the value of personal data should you lose it..

When <was> the last time you took a copy?

Backup, backup, backup!!!
