I recently bought a combined VCR/DVD recorder and have copied some of my old TV recorded programmes onto DVD-RW discs with the intention of editing out adverts etc on my computer. However I am only able to open these discs with Nero Player but not with any editing software that I have (DVD Decrypter 4)I have looked at several forums regarding DVD_RTAV (which is the file that appears on the recorded disc)and as an amature, am conpletely lost!

Please can anyone tell me if it's possible to transfer TV recorded programmes to a normal format DVD disc that can be edited.

Any help or advice will be very welcome.

Thank you

David

Are you sure that DVD_RTAV isn't a folder containing a VRO file? See if this helps click here or this click here

Thank you MAJ & eedcam for your replies to my posting.

The VideoReDo site has a program that will work for my needs.

Thank you both again.
