I'm currently copying about 300GB of MP3's from an External HD to another one ( 1TB model). Trouble is, each track is taking 4 or 5 seconds, is this about right or not?

Thanks

Is your external drive USB1, USB2 Hi-Speed or Firewire?

How large is you average MP3 file?

Are the source files likely to be fragmented?
