Transferring Emails to new Laptop

I know how to do this as Ive done it before. I locate the store folder and copy all the dbx files to a new folder etc

I just notice when I do it this time, each file seems to have an icon I dont recognize; it could be an OpenOffice (which i use) type icon. Will this present a problem when I transfer them?

The icon represents the application with which the dbx file type has been associated. You can check this is Windows Explorer. Tools - Folder Options - File Types. There are various programs that use the dbx extension click here. This will have no effect on the emails in the new laptop, where a different icon might be assigned according to what software is on the new laptop and what file associations might be made on it.
