Transferring E-Mail From CD-RW From Old To New PC

  davidsign 16:51 01 Mar 03

I have just recently bought a new PC.

When I set up my account details on Outlook Express all I got was the new e-Mail since I set up my PC and no old E-Mail from my old PC.

I since transferred my old E-Mails from my old PC onto CD-RW, but I cannot seemingly transfer the E-Mail from the CD-RW to the new PC.

Is there anybody who knows how to transfer E-Mail from a CD-RW onto a PC.

You run the Import wizard in the File menu of OE.

Have you tried the Import function in OE, davidsign? File > Import > Messages.

Sorry - should have been a bit clearer. You should copy the folder containing the email databases, as a folder - not just as files, to the CD-RW. Then when you run the import Wizard, point it to the folde on the CD, not the actual files.
