On your XP machine, have a look in the help & support files at the capabilities of the Files & Settings Transfer Wizard.

Basically the routine is

Find the folder all your email folders are in.

Copy this folder onto the new system (CD-writer/other disk - cable/network link - email them(?))

Import them into the new OE version.

Ask for which bits you need specific advice with.

Going to File - Import I get asked for an email program to import from. If the files have been saved in a new directory there is no email program.
What happens next.

Sorry, forgot Microsoft's links are awkward, well you've got the article number if you want to check it out.

another way of doing it is to highlight all your emails then drag them to a folder on your desktop then save all the folders and transfer them back the same way quick no hassle and just put back what you want and you have all the others saved on disk to view whenever
