Transfer wirelessly between computers

I have a laptop and a desktop, both running through router. Is it possible to transfer files from one to the other. I know I can use a flash drive, but some of my downloaded files are too big.

Drag and Drop or Copy and Paste will both work.

Sorry if I am being thick, lads - when you say if I can see both computers, where, exactly? I can only see the router connection, not the individual machines. I'm running XPPro, SP3 - does that make any difference?

Well - it's complicated, isn't it - but I HAVE managed to transfer between the two machines - thanks a lot guys. Don't worry if you hear me screaming with frustration because I've done something wrong........ OR how slowly it happens, either!!)
