I have just bought a new PC, and would like some info on the best method for transfering all my files from the old PC to the new PC. Can anyone help

Depends on how much and what the old machine has.

By far the easiest, but maybe slowest, is to use a USB drive if you have one.

Another option (preferred) is to take the old disk and put into the new machine as a slave; then drag and drop.

This will work fine for data; do you have programs you want installed? Best option for that is to reinstall.
