I have a Kodak DX6490 Digital Camera
When I transfer my video files to my p.c. via my card reader they are saved as QuickTime Movie files.
Is ther anyway that I can make them transfer from camera to p.c. as avi files ???

They may still be avi files but Quicktime is set to play them. If you have another player set that to play the files instead of QT. Or is your cardreader software saving them as QT files.
