traffic light icon thing missing

My new computer (yes, again!) doesn't have those little traffic lights and green arrows in the system tray or whatever it's called. I miss them, is there a way of getting them to show up?
On AOL dial-up.

Control Panel, Network connections, Right click the connection, Properties. Tick Show icon in notification area when connected.

Thanks...there's no option like that only to show "aol dialler" (a green box icon) in notification area, sadly nothing like traffic lights!

it's a new computer... it may be that the trafic lights you refer to were a function of the software of your old PC...

My dad's PC has what you describe and it's a function of the driver software for his modem. Driver software for your current modem may not have the "traffic lights"...

That said, what VoG™ has suggested should produce something of a similar nature!

Good luck,

Thanks Simsy, never thought of that possibility.
