Toshiba Tecra M1 hard drive connection.

I have just bought a Toshiba Tecra M1 laptop off ebay. It came without a hard drive but did come with the hard drive caddy. I have an IDE drive ready to put in but I do not have the right connector to fit. Could anyone tell me what I need to make the connection? Is it an adapter of some sort?

Thanks in advance,

The caddy "is" the adaptor for the IDE drive.

So I don't need an adapter that fits onto the ide drive pins?

that usually is part of the "caddy" that came with the laptop.

screw the drive into the caddy
slide the caddy into the laptop

The guy who had it before me obviously did not remove the adapter from the old drive so it doesn't connect to anything.
Thanks for your help.

yes, but without the black attachment on the end....I will have to get one off Ebay. Thanks.
