Toshiba Laptop Satellite A10 or something!

  FireOfBlue 20:10 13 Aug 03

Hi everyone,

have just got a new laptop - a replacement for the one recently stolen from car boot (Grrr!).

My query is - does anyone know why it powers down at regular intervals? This happens even when being used. The Toshiba that was stolen did the same. There must be a power save setting or hibernate setting that I haven't found because I have looked and the settings I have made should not cause it to power down.

Fire :)

Try calling Toshiba Tech support

0870 4448936 (from their web site).

Check Control Panel, Power Options.

Does this happen whilst in use?

Is the battery fully charged?

Yes it happens whilst surfing etc. Battery is fully charged.
