When I turn my laptop on it beeps in a kind of morse code fashion. Nothing is displayed on the screen and after a few secobnds it stops beeping and goes silent but the power light still remians on.

Model: Toshiba Satellite M30X-129
Windows XP OS.

The beeps (actually BIOS error codes) suggest a failed piece of hardware. Not cheap or easy to fix on a laptop.

Are there specific beeps for specific problems? if yes then where can I find a list of BIOS error beeps?

Depends on what BIOS it has. click here

This may be faulty memory. You could try removing and refitting it. under a plate at the bottom of comp

PS You could try removing the battery then try to start just on mains

I got the BIOS type off the Toshiba website. Then I checked the phoenix beep codes and it came up with this.

First 64KB RAM failure

The first RAM IC has failed. Replace the IC if possible.

I assume IC stands for Intergrated Chip. So I have to replace my RAM basically.

I almost forgot, Me and Eskimo_uk are friends, we were posting under each others names. It's supposed to be me.

RAM was loose. My stupid friend (eskmio_uk) funnily enough was messing with it. Stupid prat never put it back in properly. Excuse me whilst I kill him.

Thankyou for all the help guys. Much Appreciated.

You're lucky really that the first SoDimm slot was accessible. On some laptops, only the second slot is easily accessible for upgrades.
