Last night I unplugged my laptop (although not switched on) and when I plugged in this morning It isnt working. All I get is the blue light indicating it is plugged in, there is no battery or standby light. It has been plugged in for two hours and it still will not turn on. Any suggestions???

Unplug the charger cable from the laptop, see if it will start on battery.

Take out the battery, plug in the charger, see if it will start on mains. Double check there is power to the charger, you may have plugged something else into the mains socket.

Ive tried those two things and it seems that when I take the battery out it works with the power socket. However when the battery is in it doesnt work. Im guessing I need to replace the battery?
