toshiba centrino laptop hard drive replacement

I have a satellite pro notebook which has a 80gb 5400rpm hard drive,,would i get an increase in peformance if it was replaced by a 7200rpm 100gb hard drive and if there was what type should i go for some people have said its not easy to replace laptop hard drive please can anyone enlighten me many thanks

You'd get a small increase in speed and a large increase in temperature and maybe a decrease in battery life when not plugged in ...make sure you get the right fitting for your laptop , a lot of new 2.5" hard drives are now SATA drives instead of PATA .
