Too much security !!

I know it is good to have all these antivirus thingys, but I often send executables via email and Outlook (XP) keeps stopping me because it might have a virus.

Is there any way to turn this security feature OFF? I have Norton as well as Avast Antivirus running all the time so I think I'm pretty well protected.

You cannot turn it off.

Just pop the .exe into a ZIP file and send it as a zip file. You'll reduce the size also.

XP has a ZIP utility built it.

ic, then you can always rename it to something else, but it would be nice to not have to bother.

Sorry It's me being utterly lazy again.

I don't know how to disable this but you can get round the problem by zipping the .exe file or changing the .exe to something else e.g. txt. The recipient would have to know to rename it on receipt.
