please help i have a GA-7ZMM Motherboard with 3 memory slots i have recently upgraded from 2 128MB to 3 512MB SDRAM, PC133. However when i did a scan of my system it said my motherboard capacity was 1024MB,when i go into my system properties it lists my ram as 1.5 GB.I am running XP Proffessional service pack 2.Is the extra memory surplus or is it useful?. Should i take it out of my pc? thanks in anticipation!

Keep it - the more the better as a general rule.

Ooops - sorry, wrong advice - you should remove one of the sticks.

Thanks Technotiger have taken it out. What other memory is required on an old pc if it does not recogonise 512MB SDRAM PC133.Tried one on my sisters old pc running xp prof sys pack 2 but would not work any ideas? thanks.
