I have borrowed a tomtom sat nav and somehow turned down the volume, how do I turn it up again

Turn on the unit,tap the middle of the screen, look for change preferences, tap that, scroll until you come to volume preferences, tap that, then move the volume slider to the level you want and then tap done ...alB

I think you will find that different TomTom's the area of the screen you tap on is different. Try the sides botoom or top and a volume slide bar will display. On mine it is top right hand corner.

That should be bottom not botoom.

It depends if you have loaded the latest software from there site. I have just updated my Camera Defs, but software was updated about two moths back.

Just got enough power in it to check. Tap screen, change Prefs\arrow until you see volume
