Thunderbugs in my laptop screen!!!

I have 1 walking around and now 2 dead thunderbugs gracing my screen,any ideas out there of how to rid myself of these preferably without having to demolish my laptop at the same time???

You are not the first to have this problem. There are some instructions on stripping screens such as click here but you will need to have confidence to do this.

Failing that, perhaps a very gentle tapping of the outside of the screen (not the viewing area) with the laptop switched off will encourage the carcasses to the bottom of the screen or - if you can see a small access gap around the screen and the bugs are near the edge - very careful application of a vacuum cleaner nozzle may shift them.

I once had a similar bug in the viewfinder of my Ashai Pentax Spotmatic camera - I could watch it making progress across the screen in all its feelers-equipped glory...:-)
