ThunderBird question - displaying html?

Can someone please explain to me how I can view html messages in Thunderbird? I mean the ones which come with an optional text message to display in the case of the email client being unable to display html messages.

My novatech mails never get displayed - only a message telling me:

If you're viewing this message, it means you cannot view our full colour HTML edition,
so please visit click here to keep up to date!

It is not only Novatech - others do the same.

What have I missed?

Thanks.

Have you checked the settings are correct under, View\Message Body As\Original HTML.

Thanks very much for that; I will have to learn to be more observant.

I like Thunderbird a lot and after playing with it for a long time think it is now time to make the switch permanently.
