Thunderbird 1.07 Progress Bar Constant? Can u conf

  WhenHeavenTouchesEarth 11:39 08 Oct 05

Hi there, I've just installed Thunderbird as my main mail client on my lappy, but the progress bar (and hence the 'stop' button) seems to be moving constantly.

Should this be the case, or should it only do that when checking mail? I would have though the latter.

I have asked it to check mail every 100 mins (the default I believe).

If someone could have a look at theirs and confirm, that would be great.

The progress bar in Thunderbird (in my case) moves only during the time a check is made for mail or it is being collected.

I just uninstalled the software, restarted the machine, then reinstalled it and it's still doing the same thing.

Can anyone suggest a way of getting it to act normally?

Even when I click on the 'Stop Transfer' button, nothing happens; just carries on regardless :(

Pants, just seemed to resolve itself, so can't offer a solution!
