Have downloaded & used my AOL account to send email. I can't see items in my Inbox - will read through the FAQ - but seems to do what I needed. I have no AOL software on this PC anymore [all on my son's] and being able to send emails is a definite step forward. Now just got to sort out being able to read them - lol

Sorry for the lateness of the response - off work yesterday Chrimbo shopping!

It was an error on the server setting - had defaulted to POP3 & I couldn't change it. Just set up a new account using IMAP & delted the old one. Now working well!
