How do i view my photographs as thumbnails in the my pictures folder. I have tried the view menu and thumbnails but all i see is the image preview symbol in the thumbnail boxes where the thumbnail pictures should be.
Any help appreciated.

click here to read about this excellent freeware program. It can browse thumbnails of more file types than Windows Explorer, and has many more abilities.

Not sure about the reason for the problem in Explorer though.

what photo software do you have installed?
if you right click on any of your pictures you should see options like open with, from there you can select your preferred photo viewing/editing Software, you can also browse for you preferred software and also if you wish put a tick in "Always use this selected program to open this type of file"

If you have XP, if you right click in the folder, then on View and then choose Thumbnails.
